It’s ok to make your life easy! It’s ok to take shortcuts. Adjust life to your needs. And if you have to do things differently now, accept that, and give yourself grace; then, pat yourself on the back for accomplishing what you did do.
Life Shortcuts that are completely acceptable:
- Cook a frozen lasagna or make a dinner of already cooked rotisserie chicken with deli potato salad
- If you have to reschedule something, don’t beat yourself up about it. Listen to your body and if you don’t have to push yourself, don’t.
- Use technology to your benefit. Set alarm reminders, schedule things using your calendar app. Don’t depend on your memory – outsource that shit
- If you can afford it, hire a maid to come 2x a month to clean all the harder areas & to help you keep up with the housework, or get a laundry service to keep up with your families laundry.
- Get groceries delivered or shop online for pick up so that you’re not overexerting yourself in the store or trying to make decisions on the fly when you’re in pain or struggling with anxiety or something.
Don’t be afraid or ashamed to ask for help or do things the “easy” way. You are functioning and that in & of itself is an accomplishment some days.
