Max Effort Activated

Thankfully, no one in my universe makes me feel like I don’t try hard enough to live a functioning life, but I’ve definitely felt that way in the past.

Yes, we all need to have a certain amount of “suck it up” strength inside of us, and we should put extra effort forth when needed, but your “all” will likely look different than someone else’s “all.” You’ve got to know your limitations while always keeping in mind your abilities without selling yourself short just because your disabled.

Should you allow your disability to completely control your thoughts and every aspect of your life, everyday? No. You truly are more than your pain/illness. But, somedays, they just do. Pain/illness overrides the system and will stop us in our tracks sometimes. The key is to know when to push ourselves and when to rest.

The fact is, your disability/pain/illness will stop you from doing certain things, and you have to give yourself grace, and not berate or gaslight yourself into thinking you should be able to do more. As long as you’re giving life your all, that’s all that matters, and anyone who has contrary opinions regarding your efforts can go to hell. 💜
