No fake’ness for me

No, no more “fake if til I make it” for me. That WAS me for the majority of my life though…Until I realized a few things:

✨ I have a voice and I am worthy of using it.
✨ I must respect my own physical boundaries and not “push” myself. Undoubtedly, that’d be extremely detrimental, and it would only prove to exacerbate any current symptoms and set me up for more pain and challenges in the coming hours/days.
✨ We have NOTHING to “prove” to anyone. Not our pain, our strength, nor our functioning abilities. There’s nothing to defend. It’s apart of you, and if they can’t offer grace, kindness and compassion towards your real struggles, you don’t need them around you, questioning you or invalidating your pain, needs, and feelings.
✨ We must accept the pain before we can heal it. We have to admit that something is hurtful in order to seek the aid necessary to ease the pain. If we are ignoring it, it’ll just fester and get worse . Acknowledge it so you can treat it.
Seriously…We cannot heal that which we don’t consider broken.
✨ Stuffing it down, “sucking it up”, keeping it in…that’s simply not fair to you. It’s bound to overflow and affect your whole well being. Let it out. Communicate your needs. Talk about your feelings, fears, triumphs. Start sharing the little things with those who love you so you are better equipped to share the heavy stuff with them, if ever needed.
✨ You matter. Your pain matters, too. You experiencing pain is not a selfish thing. Your chronic illness needs deserve to be honored and respected; not ignored or met with aggression & guilt.
✨ Feel your feelings. Deal with whatever comes up and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Let go. Let it all go. There’s no need for you to keep your pain to yourself. Know that it’s ok to ask for assistance from professionals who are best equipped to help you. Build a village. Caring, loving, kind people are out there, I promise. I’m here, too. You’re not alone in the trenches.
✨ Be REAL. Be Authentic, always. In all ways, Be YOU; pain, ailments, challenges, craziness and all.

✨ DON’T FAKE IT ‘TILL YA MAKE IT.
FACE IT ‘TILL YA MANAGE IT.
…whatever ‘it’ is for you.
You are worthy, and your pain matters. 🕉 You got this.
