Good ‘ol Glory – short version

GOOD ‘OL GLORY

The storming reign has passed.
All damage and destruction ceased.
At last,
the tides have changed,
the tumultuous seas’ve found their peace.

Evil sinners cast away, tossed.
Lost in the endless ocean.
Fallen.
Sinking.
Decomposing.
Rotting among forgotten bones of battleships buried on the salty floor.
Mourning tears are over.
No more drowning in dispair.

A beacon of light births endless hope’filled rainbows,
Salvation beckons from the safe and steady shore.

The gentle, sweeping beam of blue burns bright.
It calms a fretful soul,
breathes life to dreams once more.

The evolving winds are gusting.
Swirling.
Dancing.
Flirting with the gold horizon.
Flooding light upon shame ridden sorrows.

A guide to glory.
A lead to follow.
A reassuring glow.
Enlightenment.
A show.

Sowing seeds of peace,
cultivating a brighter tomorrow.
